Immaculate Conception
Papal document that raised the Immaculate Conception to the status of formal doctrine. Often confused with the Virgin Birth, this program explains that the Immaculate Conception is not about Jesus, but is the story of how Mary was conceived in the womb of her mother, St. Anne, without the stain of Original Sin.
This is also the story of one Bishop (St. Eugene DeMazenod) who attended the Vatican Assemblies prior to Pope Pius IX¹s document and what the belief in Mary¹s Immaculate Conception meant to him and the religious order he founded: the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
Ages 12 through adult 17 min.

Living in the Image and Likeness of God
We are created in the image and likeness of God, but how often do we think about that? What does it really mean in terms of our day-to-day lives and in our search for the divine? Rev. Ron Rolheiser, OMI takes you on a three-part journey through the scriptures, Gospels and the writings of theologians and scholars to describe the "Struggles inherent in our Blessedness." Fr. Rolheiser shows us our naïveté regarding the power of this Blessedness, how it can also be a source of perpetual disquiet and restlessness, and finally, how to live with the "Divine Fire" inside of us. As always, Fr. Rolheiser's charm, humor and scholarship make this presentation a memorable one for all those seeking a greater depth and understanding of their faith.
