Inspired by the pastoral letter of the same name from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, this program provides a glimpse into the richness and diversity of the Asian and Pacific people in the U.S. More than a year in the making, our crews literally went from coast-to-coast taping celebrations and interviews with individuals from the more than 50 Asian and 25 Pacific cultures represented in our country. We look at a history of Asian and Pacific immigration to the U.S. that began over 200 years ago and investigate the modern stereotype of Asian and Pacific people as America's "model minority."

As they face the challenges of culture-shock and language barriers, we see their devotion to family; hard work and an abiding love of God take them to the next step in their quest to bring their countless gifts to the U.S Catholic Church and the culture at large.
